CannabisNewsBreaks – Lexaria Bioscience Corp.’s (NASDAQ: LEXX) DehydraTECH(TM)-Nicotine Pouch Demonstrates Advantages over Competition

Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (NASDAQ: LEXX), a global innovator in drug delivery platforms, recently reported results from its human oral nicotine study NIC-H22-1, comparing Lexaria’s DehydraTECH(TM)-nicotine tobacco-free pouch to world-leading brands ZYN(R) and on! “Using measurements to determine the median time required to reach comparable nicotine concentrations within the bloodstream (‘Tmax’), Lexaria exhibited higher levels of certain pleasurable effects over the competition. DehydraTECH also provided the lowest frequency of unwanted negative effects, including moderate to severe nausea, demonstrating benefits from Lexaria’s formulation,” a recent article reads. “We’ve always had an overwhelming determination and fierce conviction that we can make the world a better place and reduce the carnage caused by smoked cigarettes, and now we have human study data that demonstrates advantages of DehydraTECH-processed nicotine relative to the competitive landscape,” Lexaria CEO Chris Bunka is quoted as saying.

Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (NASDAQ: LEXX) Steadily Advancing its DehydraTECH(TM) Technology, Having Demonstrated its Potential Across Multiple Areas of Application

  • Lexaria’s patented DehydraTECH(TM)-processed CBD has shown its ability to lower blood pressure in patients over multiple weeks
  • This technology has also shown positive impacts in obese diabetic-conditioned animals from its DIAB-A22-1 pre-clinical study
  • The NIC-H22-1 human nicotine study also demonstrated a statistically significant difference to achieve maximum blood saturation
  • These results have demonstrated DehydraTECH’s potential while propping it to take advantage of vastly untapped markets with potential for growth in the coming years

Lexaria Bioscience (NASDAQ: LEXX), a global innovator in drug delivery platforms, is steadily advancing its patented DehydraTECH(TM) technology for its growing range of applications, which include oral nicotine, hypertension, antivirals, human hormone therapy, diabetes and more. The progress achieved thus far has been the product of years of clinical and pre-clinical research, all of which reflect management’s confidence in the company’s direction and technology.

As of the three months ended May 31, 2023, the company had increased its research and development (“R&D”) expenses by 118% year-over-year, primarily focused on the execution of hypertension, oral nicotine, and diabetes studies (https://cnw.fm/WUofP). This devotion of a significant proportion of its resources reflects the company’s intent to establish areas of investigation for commercial pursuits while bringing it closer to tapping into vastly untapped markets with the potential for growth in the coming years.

The investments have paid off, with Lexaria having come a step closer to submitting its Investigational New Drug (“IND”) application for its planned U.S. Phase 1b Hypertension Clinical Trial with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) (https://cnw.fm/O4cn5). So far, previous clinical trials have shown DehydraTECH-processed CBD’s ability to lower blood pressure in patients over multiple weeks, a tremendous achievement for the company and for its technology.

“That we were able to lower blood pressure in our patient population over multiple weeks using DehydraTECH-CBD is an exceptional discovery, given that previous studies by others using other oral CBD formulations have failed to evidence this sustained benefit,” noted Chris Bunka, Lexaria’s CEO (https://cnw.fm/T5Hj3).

This success has been replicated in other studies, most notably diabetes. In Lexaria’s pre-clinical diabetes study, DIAB-A22-1, conducted in obese diabetic-conditioned animals, DehydraTECH-CBD yielded successful results showing positive impacts on blood glucose levels, overall body weight, locomotor activity, in addition to triglyceride and blood urea nitrogen levels. With the American Diabetes Association (“ADA”) estimating the number of Americans with diabetes at 37.3 million as of 2019, there is a dire need for viable treatment options, and Lexaria is looking to address that (https://cnw.fm/YwMuD).

Lexaria’s DehydraTECH has also proven its superiority and advantage over traditional oral delivery methods in the nicotine replacement market. Its NIC-H22-1 human nicotine study demonstrated a statistically significant difference between the time taken to achieve maximum blood saturation levels (“Tmax”) for DehydraTECH-nicotine at 2.3 and 3.1 minutes faster than alternatives currently in the market. In addition, DehydraTECH-nicotine represented a 15% and 20% faster response to achieve maximum blood saturation, a feat that few other players in the market have achieved.

“Within just five short years of R&D and product development, Lexaria has been able to develop an oral nicotine product that meets or exceeds the performance of the world’s leading existing brands,” noted Mr. Bunka.

“This is a remarkable achievement that speaks to the capabilities of the DehydraTECH technology and also to the Lexaria R&D team, working ardently with scarce resources relative to global multi-billion-dollar behemoths,” he added (https://cnw.fm/Mthe9).

Even with its achievements so far, Lexaria remains committed to pushing the envelope regarding the research and development of its DehydraTECH technology. So far, it has demonstrated its incredible potential across various areas of application as well as its viability in the market. The consistent push for further development reflects Lexaria’s understanding of its mission and commitment to creating shareholder value.

CannabisNewsBreaks – Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (NASDAQ: LEXX) Announces New Studies to Examine DehydraTECH(TM)-Powered GLP-1 Drugs

Lexaria Bioscience (NASDAQ: LEXX, LEXXW), a global innovator in drug delivery platforms, today announced its intention to launch new human and animal studies to examine DehydraTECH(TM)-processed glucagon-like peptide-1 (“GLP-1”) drugs such as, but not limited to, semaglutide sold under Novo Nordisk’s brand names Ozempic(R), Wegovy(R) and Rybelsus(R), for purposes of improved  bioavailability, cost-effectiveness, tolerability, weight loss potential, management of diabetes and other health conditions. According to the update, Lexaria, through these studies, hopes to achieve superior pharmacokinetic (“PK”) performance using DehydraTECH-powered GLP-1 drugs, which could enable drug delivery via oral capsule at lower costs than current injectables, with reduced side effects and enhanced health benefits. This is a significant expansion of Lexaria’s ongoing study program to examine its patented DehydraTECH-CBD for diabetes control in humans. The company now intends to evaluate this alongside and together with DehydraTECH-processed GLP-1 agents. Program design has commenced, and initial study work will begin soon.

Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (NASDAQ: LEXX) to Demonstrate DehydraTECH-CBD Benefits in Upcoming Investigational New Drug Application Submission

  • Lexaria’s IND application builds on five previous human clinical studies showing zero serious adverse effects and evidencing a reduction in resting blood pressure in test subjects
  • DehydraTECH(TM)-CBD has the potential to have pronounced clinical benefits relative to the available anti-hypertensive therapeutics on the market today
  • Work mostly under Lexaria’s control was completed earlier this year, including the batch manufacturing of DehydraTECH-CBD and placebo materials necessary for the IND application
  • Lexaria is waiting to submit until the necessary documentation outside of their control is ready for the IND application

Lexaria Bioscience (NASDAQ: LEXX), a global innovator in drug delivery platforms, remains on track for its upcoming Investigational New Drug (“IND”) submission. The application is for the company’s planned US Phase 1b Hypertension Clinical Trial HYPER-H23-1, entitled “A Phase 1b Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study of the Safety, Pharmacokinetics, and Pharmacodynamics of DehydraTECH-CBD in Subjects with Stage 1 or Stage 2 Hypertension,” looks to evaluate the safety and tolerability of Lexaria’s patented DehydraTECH(TM)-processed CBD in hypertensive patients.

Lexaria’s IND submission builds on five previous human clinical studies conducted from 2018 to 2022 and is integral to the successful filing and review of the submission. These studies were carried out in an aggregate total of 134 healthy and hypertensive persons and evidenced significant reductions in resting blood pressure over both acute and multi-week dosing regimens. The studies also showed zero serious adverse effects, evidencing Lexaria’s DehydraTECH-CBD’s potential to have pronounced clinical benefits relative to available anti-hypertensive therapeutics.

“That we were able to lower blood pressure in our patient population over multiple weeks using DehydraTECH-CBD is an exceptional discovery, given that previous studies by others using other oral CBD formulations have failed to evidence this sustained benefit,” said Chris Bunka, CEO of Lexaria (https://cnw.fm/rG6OB).

Work mostly under Lexaria’s control was completed earlier this year, including the batch manufacturing of DehydraTECH-CBD and placebo materials necessary for the IND application. However, work outside the company’s control remains delayed, including the provision of required documentation by a materials supplier and stability testing of the material. Despite this delay, Lexaria is still progressing toward its application submission.

The company is only aware of a handful of other published research investigating whether a decrease in resting blood pressure is possible following multiple weeks of oral CBD use. Lexaria notes that none of this published research has succeeded in achieving this goal. The outcomes of the company’s previous research prove DehydraTECH-CBD’s superior power to reduce blood pressure over oral CBD formulations.

Lexaria’s DehydraTECH technology is designed for formulating and delivering lipophilic drugs and active pharmaceutical ingredients (“APIs”). DehydraTECH increases their effectiveness and improves the way these APIs enter the bloodstream. The major benefits of a DehydraTECH-enabled drug or consumer product include:

  • Faster delivery time – with the effects of the product felt in minutes
  • Increased bioavailability – the technology is more effective at delivering a drug or product directly to the bloodstream
  • Increased brain absorption – animal testing has suggested significant improvement in the quantity of the drug delivered across the blood-brain barrier
  • Improved potency – more of the ingested product is made available to the body, with lower dosages necessary for the desired result
  • Reduced administration costs – lower dosages mean less overall drug costs
  • Masking unwanted tastes – the technology eliminates or reduces the need for sweeteners

DehydraTECH is suitable for use with various product formats, including pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, consumer packaged goods, topicals and over-the-counter capsules, pills, tablets, and oral suspensions. The company’s technology is best considered an additional layer that can improve the effectiveness of existing drug offerings or planned new offerings. Lexaria’s DehydraTECH is covered by over 30 granted patents and has many more pending worldwide.

Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (NASDAQ: LEXX) is On Track for IND Application with the FDA for its Planned U.S. Phase 1b Hypertension Clinical Trial

  • Lexaria’s IND application for its U.S. Phase 1b Hypertension Clinical Study, HYPER-H23-1, remains on track despite setbacks
  • Work mostly under Lexaria’s control was completed earlier this year, while work that is outside its control remains delayed
  • Regardless, Lexaria continues to make progress, even as it looks to take advantage of the growing global cardiovascular drugs market, which is projected to post a CAGR of 3.1% between 2021 and 2026
  • Chris Bunka, Lexaria’s CEO, has lauded the company’s exceptional discovery, which demonstrates the ability of the patented DehydraTECH-processed CBD to lower blood pressure in the patient population

Lexaria Bioscience (NASDAQ: LEXX), a global innovator in drug delivery platforms, remains on track for its upcoming submission of an Investigational New Drug (“IND”) application for its planned U.S. Phase 1b Hypertension Clinical Trial, dubbed HYPER-H23-1. The study, entitled “A Phase 1b Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Study of the Safety, Pharmacokinetics, and Pharmacodynamics of DehydraTECH-CBD in Subjects with Stage 1 or Stage 2 Hypertension,” looks to evaluate the safety and tolerability of Lexaria’s patented DehydraTECH(TM)-processed CBD in hypertensive patients (https://cnw.fm/8q5JV).

This study builds on five previous human clinical studies conducted from 2018 to 2022, which will be integral to the successful filing and review of the planned IND submission. Most notably, the studies, which involved 134 healthy and hypertensive persons, evidenced significant reductions in resting blood pressure over both acute and multi-week dosing regimens. In addition, the studies also showed zero serious adverse events, evidencing DehydraTECH-CBD’s potential to have pronounced clinical benefits relative to available anti-hypertensive therapeutics.

Work that is mainly under Lexaria’s control was completed earlier this year. This included batch manufacturing of DehydraTECH-CBD and placebo materials necessary for the application. However, work outside of Lexaria’s control remains delayed. This includes the provision of required documentation by a materials supplier and stability testing of the material. As such, Lexaria cannot yet submit the IND package to the FDA until the delays have been addressed, although progress is still being made.

In 2021, the global cardiovascular drugs market was estimated at $146.51 billion. By 2026, the market is expected to be valued at $173.48 billion, posting a CAGR of 3.1% (https://cnw.fm/ry230). Lexaria looks to capitalize on this growth while carving a decent market share. The IND application with the FDA will be integral to the company realizing this goal and bringing relief to the many people living with cardiovascular conditions.

“That we were able to lower blood pressure in our patient population over multiple weeks using DehydraTECH-CBD is an exceptional discovery, given that previous studies by others using other oral CBD formulations have failed to evidence this sustained benefit,” noted Chris Bunka, Lexaria’s CEO (https://cnw.fm/f76N9).

So far, Lexaria is aware of only a handful of other published research studies that have investigated whether a sustained decrease in resting blood pressure is possible following multiple weeks of oral CBD dosing. However, it notes that none have succeeded in achieving this, proving DehydraTECH-CBD’s superior power to reduce blood pressure over other oral CBD formulations.

Lexaria Bioscience Corp.’s (NASDAQ: LEXX) Investigational Research Programs Position the Company for Important Partnership Opportunities and Growth

  • Lexaria Bioscience has completed several studies that confirm and support the superiority and advantages of its patented DehydraTECH(TM) technology over traditional oral delivery methods
  • The company recently announced results from its human oral nicotine study NIC-H22-1 comparing its DehydraTECH-nicotine pouch to world-leading brands, Zyn(R) and on!(R)
  • Results from the study demonstrated that DehydraTECH-nicotine was statistically significantly faster in reaching Tmax than both brands
  • Lexaria has also undertaken other investigational research programs, including the analysis and execution of hypertension, diabetes, hormone therapy, and dementia studies, which could birth excellent partnership opportunities, supporting further growth
  • A report by Zacks Investment Research discussed the nicotine study alongside Lexaria’s other recent milestones, maintaining a $12.00 price target

Lexaria Bioscience (NASDAQ: LEXX), a global innovator seeking to enhance the bioavailability of multiple active pharmaceutical ingredients using its patented DehydraTECH(TM) drug delivery technology platform, continues to devote an increasing proportion of its resources and focus toward research and development (“R&D”) as part of its overall goal to establish areas of investigation for commercial pursuits and reduce risks of the unknown for both commercial and regulatory goals.

In the three months ended May 31, 2023 (“Q3 2023”), for example, the company increased its R&D expenses 118% year over year to $1.64 million in Q3 2023 from $752,095 in Q3 2022, with a recent Zacks Investment Research report attributing this expenditure to Lexaria’s multiple DehydraTECH investigational research programs then underway, including analysis and execution of hypertension, nicotine, and diabetes studies (https://cnw.fm/syN1c). The report also lauded the company’s efficient use of capital, which allowed its R&D activities to expand into new preclinical work, including hormone therapy and dementia.

“While still at an early stage, these programs could be excellent partnership opportunities that will support further growth and potentially provide growth capital,” reads the report (https://cnw.fm/I4VUz). “Research efforts around these indications help further characterize DehydraTECH-CBD and its advantages compared with traditional delivery methods.”

The company has completed several studies confirming and supporting DehydraTECH’s superiority and advantages over traditional oral delivery methods. One such study, the human nicotine study NIC-H22-1, compared its DehydraTECH-processed nicotine tobacco-free pouch to two oral nicotine pouch brands, Zyn(R) (from Swedish Match) and on!(R) (from Helix Innovations LLC, a subsidiary of Altria Group Inc.) The randomized, double-blinded, crossover study involved 36 subjects, each dosed three times over several weeks. In May, the company announced that the dosing of the 36 patients was completed and, in early August, issued a press release announcing topline results.

Results from the study demonstrated a statistically significant difference between the time taken to achieve maximum blood saturation levels (“Tmax”) for DehydraTECH-nicotine and both Zyn and on! “Time to Tmax of 15.37 minutes was 2.3 minutes faster than what was produced in the on! arm and 3.1 minutes faster than the time measured in the Zyn arm. In percentage terms, this represented a 15% and 20% faster response to achieve maximum blood saturation levels,” summarizes the report.

Lexaria also used as a benchmark the Tmax to be reached with a combustible cigarette, citing a pharmacokinetic study that put the figure at 8 minutes. “Relative to this benchmark, the company put together a comparison of other nicotine delivery methods, including the data generated from the NIC-H22-1 study. Of the eight comparable vehicles, DehydraTECH oral pouch was the fastest to Tmax relative to combustible cigarettes,” the report continues.

The study also evaluated qualitative aspects of DehydraTECH-nicotine, reporting its superiority across six different categories that examined the desirable and undesirable attributes of nicotine consumption. The categories included euphoria and head rush, tolerability, pleasure, mouth and throat burn, nausea, and hiccups. With these positive results in hand, Zacks expects that partner work with global tobacco juggernauts will expand.

“Within just five short years of R&D and product development, Lexaria has been able to develop an oral nicotine product that meets or exceeds the performance of the world’s leading existing brands,” commented Lexaria CEO Chris Bunka in an August 9 press release (https://cnw.fm/MKN9L). “This is a remarkable achievement that speaks to the capabilities of the DehydraTECH technology and also to the Lexaria R&D team, working ardently with scarce resources relative to global multi-billion-dollar behemoths.”

Zacks’ report also covered Lexaria’s other recent milestones, including the move to incorporate a new wholly owned subsidiary called Lexaria Nutraceutical Corp. The move is intended to optimize the company’s strategy, helping maximize the potential for its DehydraTECH technology in multiple markets worldwide. Moreover, the report discussed Lexaria’s recent publications, patents, and capital raise, as well as details from its hypertension and diabetes studies.

With the recently released nicotine data preparing Lexaria to enter into discussions with prospective partners and its hypertension program on course to result in an Investigational New Drug (“IND”) application, Zacks maintains a price target of $12.00 per share.

CannabisNewsBreaks – Lexaria Bioscience Corp.’s (NASDAQ: LEXX) ‘Strategically Important’ Patent Grants Protection in One of World’s Leading Oral Nicotine Markets

Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (NASDAQ: LEXX), a global innovator in drug delivery platforms, recently celebrated the receipt of U.S. patent #11,700,875, titled “Compositions and Methods For Sublingual Delivery of Nicotine.” The patent covers various forms and sources of nicotine, including nicotine benzoate, nicotine polacrilex, nicotine citrate, nicotine detartrate, and many others, for use in sublingual delivery formats like oral pouches. “The new U.S. patent is remarkable and ‘strategically important’ in many ways. First, it is the company’s 35th overall granted patent worldwide and the 13th granted in the United States. Second, a total of 30 claims were awarded within this patent, the highest number of claims accepted by the USPTO in the company’s existing portfolio. And with researchers agreeing that patents with a higher number of claims are better protected and can be an important measure of value, the claims increase the value of the new patent and perhaps even the company’s entire IP portfolio,” a recent article reads. “Third… the new U.S. patent could lead to the award of patents within this family in other countries… Moreover, the new patent grants IP protection within the United States, one of the world’s leading oral nicotine markets, according to an analysis by the Foundation for a Smoke-Free World. The U.S. nicotine pouches market is projected to grow at a 33% CAGR between 2023 and 2030.”

Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (NASDAQ: LEXX) Eyes What Is Considered One Of America’s Most Serious Health Problems

  • The ADA reports that 37.3 million Americans had diabetes in 2019, and the number has been growing by an average 1.4 million each year95% of Americans with diabetes are diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, which can lead to heart disease, stroke, kidney damage, and nerve damage when left untreatedLexaria’s DIAB-A22-1 pre-clinical diabetes study using DehydraTECH(TM)-CBD in obese diabetic-conditioned animals shows promising results, prompting the company to investigate for human trial

Lexaria Bioscience (NASDAQ: LEXX), a global innovator in drug delivery platforms, recently announced its intent to conduct a human clinical trial to examine its patented DehydraTECH(TM)-processed cannabidiol (“CBD”) for diabetes control and weight loss. The company’s pre-clinical diabetes study, DIAB-A22-1, in obese diabetic-conditioned animals, provided successful results and has driven Lexaria’s management to investigate whether animal improvements will be evidenced in humans.Diabetes can impact various parts of the body, including the heart, kidneys, eyes, feet, and legs. The longer a person lives with the condition at high blood sugar levels, the more serious complications can become. Diabetes is manageable, but its impact on overall health is often underestimated.According to the American Diabetes Association (“ADA”), 37.3 million Americans reported having diabetes in 2019. Of those 37.3 million, 28.7 million were diagnosed, and 8.5 million were not. Each year, the ADA reports an additional 1.4 million Americans are diagnosed with diabetes (https://cnw.fm/5ZFeZ). When left untreated, diabetes can lead to complications, including heart disease, stroke, kidney damage, and nerve damage. “Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (‘NAFLD’), which doctors historically have diagnosed in adults, is rapidly increasing in children, driven by the obesity epidemic” (https://cnw.fm/ImCtn).More than 95% of the people diagnosed with diabetes fall into the category of Type 2 diabetes, which affects how the body uses sugar for energy. Over time, type 2 diabetes can cause serious damage to the body if it is not managed. Often preventable, factors that contribute to the development of type 2 diabetes are obesity, lack of exercise, and genetics (https://cnw.fm/sgqWK).Lexaria designed DehydraTECH for formulating and delivering lipophilic drugs and active pharmaceutical ingredients. The benefits of DehydraTECH include faster drug delivery times, increased bioavailability, increased brain absorption, higher drug potency, reduced drug administration costs, masking tastes, and reduced use of sugars.DehydraTECH is suitable for various product formats, including pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, consumer packaged goods, topicals, and over-the-counter pills, capsules, tablets, and oral suspensions. Lexaria has already shown value in the hypertension and nicotine pouch industries through the use of its DehydraTECH formulations.Lexaria’s DIAB-A22-1 study in obese diabetic-conditioned animals utilized its DehydraTECH-CBD formulation, which showed an ability to reduce animal blood sugar levels – warranting additional investigation. Lexaria reported:

  • Lowered blood glucose levels by 19.9% (p<0.05)Lowered overall body weight by 7% sustained over eight weeksWitnessed a statistically significant increase in locomotor activity (p<0.05)Lowered triglyceride levels by more than 25% (p<0.007)Lowered blood urea nitrogen levels by 27.9% (p<0.001)

The company is very interested in discovering if a similar formulation might effectively control human blood sugar levels – strongly suggesting that DehydraTECH-CBD may be a potential solution for treating diabetes and its complications in humans.Lexaria intends to conduct the study, which is currently being designed, at the same medical research hospital in Europe that it used for its recent human clinical hypertension studies. The cost-effective approach allows Lexaria to complete the most research possible at a fraction of the cost of US-based registered study programs. Once the study has been designed and approved, Lexaria will provide additional information, including timelines and study details, as they become available. For more information, visit the company’s website at www.LexariaBioscience.com.NOTE TO INVESTORS: The latest news and updates relating to LEXX are available in the company’s newsroom at https://cnw.fm/LEXXAbout CannabisNewsWireCannabisNewsWire (“CNW”) is a specialized communications platform with a focus on cannabis news and the cannabis sector. Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (NASDAQ: LEXX) Affirms Product Superiority in Its 2023 Human Oral Nicotine Study, NIC-H22-1

  • Lexaria’s NIC-H22-1 study proved that its patented DehydraTECH(TM)-nicotine tobacco-free pouch was statistically significantly faster-acting than alternatives
  • The study, which involved 36 participants, embraced a randomized, double-blind, cross-over study design
  • It also affirmed Lexaria’s product superiority while also showing DehydraTECH’s potential

Lexaria Bioscience Corp. (NASDAQ: LEXX), a global innovator in drug delivery platforms, just released results from its 2023 human oral nicotine study NIC-H22-1. Of note was its patented DehydraTECH(TM)–nicotine tobacco-free pouch product superiority, particularly when pitted against world-leading brands ZYN(R) and on!(R). The study proved that Lexaria’s product was statistically significantly faster than the two alternatives in the median time required to reach comparable maximum nicotine concentrations (“Tmax”) levels (https://cnw.fm/17JMQ).

Lexaria’s CEO, Chris Bunka, lauded his team for this achievement, especially considering they had to work without as many resources as global multi-billion-dollar behemoths. He also lauded the company’s technology, citing its potential and advantages, as demonstrated in the study.

“This is a remarkable achievement that speaks to the capabilities of the DehydraTECH technology and also to the Lexaria R&D team, working ardently with scarce resources relative to global multi-billion-dollar behemoths,” he noted (https://cnw.fm/17JMQ).

Several intriguing data trends were observed from the study. For one, most of the subjects reported that they felt euphoric at all time points when they used Lexaria’s product. Lexaria also got the highest endorsement score, with statistical significance demonstrated at the second dosing visit. The highest percentage of users reporting that they considered the experience “pleasurable” at the 30-minute mark were also Lexaria users, and the company also scored best on the enjoyment scale.

Negative effects, meanwhile, such as nausea and severe hiccups were experienced more by the mass-market products than by the Lexaria formulation.

The study embraced a randomized, double-blind, cross-over study design involving 36 participants, all long-time heavy cigarette smokers who smoke at least ten cigarettes a day. Subjective effects, both positive and adverse, were assessed at baseline, 5 minutes, 30 minutes, and 120 minutes using a questionnaire to capture 25 different effects. All laboratory procedures for the study were conducted entirely by U.S.—based, third-party independent contract service providers (https://cnw.fm/17JMQ).

The results from this study not only validate Lexaria’s efforts but also affirm its product superiority while also showing DehydraTECH’s potential. This is a tremendous achievement for the company, given that this has been achieved in just five years. It reflects the company’s commitment to making the world a better place and its resolve to create value for its shareholders.

“We’ve always had an overwhelming determination and fierce conviction that we can make the world a better place and reduce the carnage caused by smoked cigarettes, and now we have human study data that demonstrates the advantages of DehydraTECH processed nicotine relative to the competitive landscape,” noted Mr. Bunka (https://cnw.fm/17JMQ).
